The objects of the society will be as follows :

1) To facilitate National Days and Festivals.

2) To conduct projects of Nehru Yuva Kendra, to establish Mahila Mandal and to give knowledge about the social rights of women to them

3) To organize Kabaddi, Kho-kho, Volleyball, Atya Patya, Carrom, I.Q. and Physical Exercise tournaments.

4) To run Physical Education School & College and to arrange Yogasan Classes for uplift the physical exercise.

5) To run training classes for the games, which develop Physical and Mental ability.

6) To arrange government approved National and International Games Competitions and tournaments in rural and urban area and to encourage the youths to participate in it.

7) To arrange a meeting of village youths and by guiding them physical games and to make them best players and to encourage them for participating in competitions.

8) To sent them for participating in Team competition in India and out of India.

9) To promote and encourage schemes for Youth Welfare. To arrange Debate Contest, Transplantation, Social, National Unity Programmes

10) To arrange Training Programmes for residents of tribal and rural area so they can get Self employment.

11) To organise Training Centre and Business Guidance camps for economically backward classes such as SC/ST/NT/SBC/OBC)

12) To run literacy campaign

13) To arrange Debates, Social & Cultural programmes, To establish Training Centers, for Educated unemployed youths.

14) To run Kindergartens, Balak Mandir, Anganwadi, Palnaghar, Primary, Middle & High Schools, Deaf and dump School, Colleges, Girls School, Women School, Industrial Training Institute, Technical School, Physical Education School, Teachers Training School, Agricultural School, Medical College, D.Pharma College, Ashramshala, Computer classes, Arts College, Beauty Culture Training Centre, and to open Military School in rural and urban areas.

15) To run awareness programmes against blind faith.

16) To organise Guidance classes for prevention of evil practices in the society such as Dowry system, Castes, Child Marriage, etc.

17) To organise Seminars, Programmes, Exhibitions for publicity and propaganda against Drug abuses.

18) To organise programmes, Charity shows etc. for over all progress of economical backward classes of the society.

RULES & REGULATIONS :

Definition of words referred to in rules and regulations :

1) Society or Sanstha means, "Smt.Taradevi Bahu-Uddeshiya Krida V Samajik Sanstha, Adasi, Tah.Gondia, Dist.Bhandara".

2) Membership of Society : The members of the society, the members who attend General Meeting, Executive Committee Meeting means the members of the society Smt.Taradevi Bahu-Uddeshiya Krida V Samajik Sanstha, Adasi.

3) A) Society means, "Smt.Taradevi Bahu-Uddeshiya Krida V Samajik Sanstha, Adasi".

4) B) Members of the society means, those persons who pay subscription or those who become the members after paying the subscription to run Taradevi Bahu-Uddeshiya Krida V Samajik Sanstha, Adasi.

5) C) Meeting means a meeting in which various resolutions be passed to run the society. That meeting shall be called the meeting of Taradevi Bahu-Uddeshiya Krida V Samajik Sanstha, Adasi.

6) D) President means a person who looks after and maintains the administration of Smt.Taradevi Bahu-Uddeshiya Krida V Samajik Sanstha, Adasi and presides over the meetings of the society, shall be treated as President.

7) Vice-President means who looks after all the works of President, in its absence, shall be called the Vice President of Smt.Taradevi Bahu-Uddeshiya Krida V Samajik Sanstha, Adasi,

8) Secretary means a person who controls, looks after and maintains the administrative records of the society with due permission of the President, shall be called the Secretary of Smt.Taradevi Bahu-Uddeshiya Krida V Samajik Sanstha, Adasi.

9) 4. Treasurer means a person who maintains the financial records of the society and put before the Secretary, will be called the treasurer of Taradevi Bahu-Uddeshiya Krida V Samajik Sanstha, Adasi.

10) Member means a person who maintains the financial records of the society and assists the Secretary, will be called the treasurer of Smt.Taradevi Bahu-Uddeshiya Krida V Samajik Sanstha, Adasi.

11) Jurisdiction, the jurisdiction of the society shall be limited to Maharashtra State only.

12) Financial Year : The financial year of the society shall be from 1st April to 31st March.

13) Membership and mode of its enrollment : Any Indian citizen who is of 18 years age or above shall be entitled to become a member of this society. The intending person shall have to submit his application to the Executive Body for approval. Then after approval by the Executive Body, the approval of the General Body is essential, Then only after paying the membership fee, he can become the member of the society.

14) Types of Members : the members of the society and its fees shall be as shown below :

15) a) Life Member : Any member shall be the life member of the society by subscribing Rs.5001/- in one single installment.

16) b) Ordinary member : Any member shall be the ordinary member of the society by paying Rs.1001/- annual subscription to the society.

17) Cancellation of membership :

18) a) The membership shall be cancelled if such member resigns out of his own sweet will, but such resignation must be accepted by majority in the meeting of the executive body.

19) b) The membership shall be cancelled if a member fails to pay the annual subscription within the next three months from the limitation thereof, after having written notice in this regard from the President or the Secretary of the society.

1) c) The membership shall be cancelled if any executive or general member of the society remains absent in three consecutive meetings of the society.

2) d) The executive body shall have the powers to cancel the membership of any office bearer, a member and any other member if they are found guilty of misconduct or they act against the interest of the society.

3) e) The membership shall be cancelled if he is proved to be lunatic and bankrupt.

4) f) The membership shall be cancelled if he enter in to meeting or office of the society in drunken condition and try to interrupt the working of the society. And in case of death of a member, his membership shall be automatically cancelled.

5) General Body's meeting - its powers and functions :

The general body's meeting shall be the superior meeting of the society and it shall have the right to give final decision on any issue referred to it. The office bearers of the governing body, life members and ordinary members can participate in this meeting provided there is nothing due against them with regard to the society and if there are any dues of the society against them, they can not participate in the meeting.

  1. 1) A) To look after the work done by the governing body of the society. In the same way to check if the resolutions passed by the General body have been executed by the Governing body or not.
  2. 2) B) To consider the last annual report and audited accounts of the previous year of the society, to discuss the same and accord approval. To give approval to the budget for the new year.
  3. 3) C) To change the rules of the society and add new rules by 2/3 majority.
  4. 4) E) To discuss over the subjects on the agenda and also discuss over the resolutions brought with the permission of the President and to accord approval or non-approval.
  5. 5) F) To elect the members of the executive body. To pass resolution regarding rejection of membership.
  6. 6) G) The Annual General meeting of the society must be held at least once a year.
  7. 7) Quorum and information about the meeting of the General Body :
  8. 8) a) The notice for the meeting of the General body shall be delivered to the members prior to 10 days of the meeting.
  9. 9) b) It would be necessary to enclose the subject matter (Agenda) with the notice of the meeting.
  10. 10) c) The information regarding the meeting should be given by obtaining signatures of the members on the notice book. If any member does not put his signature on the notice book, the notice shall be sent to him by registered post or under certificate of posting.
  11. 11) d) The 2/3 of the members shall be necessary to form the quorum of the General Body's meeting. If for want of quorum, the meeting of the General Body comes to stand still and is adjourned then the so adjourned meeting will be held on the same day and at the same place after ½ an hour. There shall be no restriction of quorum for the adjourned meeting. The information to that effect must be given in the notice for the meeting.
  1. 9) An Extra ordinary meeting and its functions :
  2. 10) a) An extra ordinary meeting of all the members of the society shall be called as and when required. In that meeting only that subject will be discussed and the resolution will be passed for which the meeting has been called.
  3. 11) b) Notice of an extra ordinary meeting shall be given 24 hours before the meeting. It shall be necessary to enclose the subject matter (agenda) of the meeting with the notice of the meeting.
  4. 12) c) The notice of the meeting shall be actually given by taking signature of the members on the notice book. The information of extra ordinary meeting shall be given telegraphically, if possible.
  5. 13) d) The presence of 2/3 members shall be necessary for the quorum of the extra ordinary meeting.
  6. 14) e) If the meeting is adjourned for want of quorum, the adjourned meeting shall be taken the same day and at the same place after ½ an hour. The information to that effect must be given in the notice. There shall be no restriction of quorum for the adjourned meeting.
  7. 15) Constitution of the executive committee and its office bearers :

The executive committee of the society shall consist of 7 (Seven) members as follows :

  1. a) President - One b) Vice President – one c) Secretary - One,
  2. d) Treasurer - One e) Members – Three
  1. 11) Duration of executive committee and procedure of election :
  2. 12) a) The duration of Executive Committee shall be of 5 years.
  3. 13) b) The election of the executive committee shall be held by Secret ballot voting by majority in the general body's meeting.
  1. 12) Office bearers of the Executive Committee and their functions :

The office bearers of the executive body and their functions will be as under :

  1. 1) a) President b) Vice President c) Secretary d) Treasurer e) Members
  2. 2) a) President :
  3. 3) The President shall preside over the meeting of executive body, General body's meeting, emergency meeting and an extra ordinary meeting.
  4. 4) To arrange meetings by issuing notices.
  5. 5) To give appropriate order in the interest of the society and to have control over the working and administration of the society and its branches.
  6. 6) b) Vice President : In absence of President, to look after all the works of President and assist in the activities of the society.
  7. 7) c) Secretary :
  8. 8) To call meetings of the executive body with the co-operation of President.
  9. 9) To settle the complaints and look after the working of the society.
  10. 10) To make rules with the assistance of the executive body.
  11. 11) To do necessary work relating to court in the interest of the society.
  12. 12) To check and verify daily accounts and cash book and sign the same and sanction the vouchers and bills.
  13. 13) To prepare papers regarding annual accounts and present the same before the meeting of the General body of the society.
  14. 14) To have control over the employees of the society and its' any branch and to help them in their needs.
  15. 15) To have control over the property of the society.
  16. 16) To implement the resolutions passed in the meetings of the General body or the Executive body and to do all other works in the best interest of the society.
  17. 17) To look after all the branches run by the society.
  18. 18) To conduct all correspondence of the society with the government and other places.
  19. 19) To accept the government grants for the society.
  20. 20) To assist the President, Vice President and Treasurer in their work and to give advice to the executive body in the interest of the society if any dispute arises in the executive body or the employees.
  21. 21) To give and take money and arrange for the payment of the employees.
  22. 23) To call the meeting of the general body as per the advice of the President.
  23. 24) To decide the date, place and time of the meeting of the General body, Executive body, emergency meeting and an extra ordinary meeting of the General body as per the advice of the President of the society.
  24. 25) To do all the works with the advice o President. If he done any work without advice of President, the same shall be get sanctioned from Executive Committee.
  25. 25) Treasurer :
  26. 26) To control the financial affairs of the society.
  27. 27) To write down the accounts or get it written.
  28. 28) To keep the accounts before the Secretary when it is completed.
  29. 29) To prepare annual report with the help of account books.
  30. 30) To comply with the objections of the acounts taken by the auditor.
  1. 1) e) Members of the Executive body : To attend the meeting of the General body and an extra-ordinary meeting of the General body. To vote during the election and to give necessary help if so ordered.
  1. 1) f) Other members of the Society :

To attend the meeting of the General body and an extra-ordinary meeting of the general body. To vote during the election and to give necessary help in the working of the society if so ordered.

  1. 13) Meeting of the Executive committee and demand meeting :

1) The meeting of the executive body shall be called atleast once within three months to see the working of the society. The President or the Secretary shall call the meeting of the executive body if the members of the executive body so demanded.

2) That meeting shall be called demand meeting if 1/3 members so demanded and the demand meeting shall be arranged by the President or the Secretary.

3) The information regarding the meeting of Demand Meeting should be given prior to 7 days of such meeting by obtaining signatures of the members on the notice book. If any member does not put his signature on the notice book, the notice shall be sent to him by registered post.

4) The quorum of the demand meeting shall be 1/3 of the members and their presence in the meeting shall be a must. Quorum shall not be necessary for the adjourned meeting. The adjourned meeting shall be held on the same day and at the same place after half an hour.

  1. 14) Notice of the meeting of the Executive committee and quorum :

1) The notice of the meeting of the executive body shall be delivered to the members prior to 10 days of the meeting.

2) The agenda of the meeting must be attached with the notice of the meeting.

3) The notice of the meeting shall be delivered by obtaining the signatures of the members and the officials. The notice shall be sent by regd. post if the signature can not be obtained on the notice book.

4) The presence of 2/3 members of the executive body shall be necessary to form the quorum.

5) If the meeting is adjourned for want of quorum, the adjourned meeting shall be held on the same day and at the same place after half an hour. Quorum shall not be bound/necessary for the adjourned meeting. The information to that effect must be given in the notice.

  1. 15) Rules regarding the election of the Executive Committee :
  2. 16) A) The executive committee must appoint the election officer prior to 15 days of the election.
  3. 17) B) The date of the election shall be informed prior to 30 days along with the notice of the general meeting.
  4. 18) C) Only that member shall be eligible for the candidature for the election who is member of the society since last one year. Such member shall have the power of voting in the election.
  5. 19) D) The member who has any outstanding dues of the society shall be disqualified for the candidature and also for the voting.
  6. 20) E) The election will be held by Secret Poll method.
  7. 21) Rules for filling the vacant post of the executive committee :

1) If a post falls vacant because of the resignation or death of any office bearer or member of the society and in the same way if any post falls vacant because of cancellation of membership, then a new member will be taken up with the majority of the executive committee.

2) If any one wants to resign from membership, he should give his regisnation to President or Secretary.

3) Such resignation shall be placed before the executive committee and accepted by majority. The officials of the executive committee shall hold their post of membership till it is accepted.

  1. 17) Functions and duties of the Executive Committee :
  2. 18) To do the work of the society as per the rules and regulations in consonance with the aims of the society.
  3. 19) To control over and look after the affairs of the society and to perform all the works of the society.
  4. 20) To appoint employees of the society, to have control over them and to remove the services of the employees who act against the interest of the society or found guilty of misconduct.
  5. 21) To make necessary rules and sub-rules for the operation and day to day working of the society and place them before the general body for approval.
  6. 22) To take cognizance of complaint and take necessary action.
  7. 23) To appoint sub-committees or give special power to any member for any work.
  8. 24) To implement the resolutions passed by the general body.
  9. 25) To keep control over other branches of the society.
  10. 26) To keep the account of income and expenditure, get the same audited and present the same before the general body.
  11. 27) To work as per the rules and in the interest of the society or prepare plans.
  12. 28) To submit the list of members of executive committee in the office of the Assistant Registrar of societies, Bhandara along with the copy of the resolution.
  13. 29) To send change report to the office of the Assistant Charity Commissioner Bhandara, if there are any changes in the executive committee of the society or in the property.
  14. 30) To keep the list of the members and to keep the book of service conditions of the employees of the society as per the provisions of law and send the information to that effect, every year to the office of the Assistant Registrar of Societies.
  15. 31) Assets, receipts and investments of the society :
  16. 32) A) The membership fee, subscription, admission fee received from the members and donations.
  17. 33) B) The cash received by the society and any other types of donations.
  18. 34) C) Government grants
  19. 35) D) The balance amount after deducting the expenditure from the cultural activities organised by the members or from other programmes
  20. 36) E) The investment of the income of the society shall be made as per the aims and objects of the society.
  1. 19) Provisions of expenditure as per aims (percent wise) :

The provision of expenditure as per the aims shall be made by the society as per the following percentage.

  1. 1) A) Educational Programmes 60%
  2. 2) B) Cultural Programmes 10%
  3. 3) C) Social Activities 30%
  4. 4) Provisions for loan and securities :

If the society needs loan or the situation so arises, then loan or security from any person or society can be accepted; the executive committee should pass a resolution by majority and permission of the Hon'ble Assistant Charity Commissioner shall be necessary for that.

  1. 21) Provisions relating to sale and purchase of immovable property :

The society shall have the power to purchase movable and immovable property and dispose off the unnecessary movable and immovable property of the society. It shall be necessary to have a resolution passed to that effect by majority in the meeting of the general body and permission of the Hon'ble Assistant Charity Commissioner shall be necessary for that.

  1. 22) Bank Account :

The amount of the society shall be deposited in any authorised bank or post office. The amount will be withdrawn from the bank with the joint signatures of the Secretary and President.

  1. 23) Procedure of keeping list of members :
  2. 24) A) A list of the members who will be members of the society as per the provisions of section 15 of the Society Registration Act 1860, shall be kept in the form of Schedule VI of rule 15 of the Maharashtra Society Registration rules of 1971.
  3. 25) B) The list of office bearers of the executive committee shall be kept in the specimen of schedule I form (As per rule 7).
  4. 26) C) The details regarding the conditions of service of the employees appointed by the society and in the same way the list of employees shall be kept as per specimen of schedule No.2.
  5. 27) Provisions relating to change in the rules and regulations :

The society shall make new necessary rules or decrease them after getting the resolution passed in the meeting of the general body by 2/3 majority, to that effect, if it desires to have alterations or changes in the rules.

  1. 25) Provisions relating to alteration in the name or aims and objects of the society :

The society shall act as per section 12 or 12-A of the Societies Registration Act 1860, if it desires to have change in the name of the society, its aims and objects or if two societies are to be amalgamated.

  1. 26) Dissolution of the society :

A resolution shall be passed by 3/5 majority in the meeting of the general body if the society is to be dissolved. All the transactions of the society regarding giving and taking must be completed. The remaining property of the society can be donated to other society. The procedure shall be followed as per section 13 and 14 of the Societies Registration Act 1860.
